Featuring Classic French Antiques,
Design-Led Furniture and
Art Deco Sculptures

Pyrontique is run by Derek Connor and Bea White, who are primarily online dealers of French antiques and decorative objets d'art supplying trade and private clients worldwide. Inspired by high quality, design-led and unique pieces, our ranges centre on classic French antique furniture, Art Deco sculptures and more unique individual pieces, dating from early French antiques up to more contemporary pieces.

Together they enjoy days out sourcing lighting, furniture, Art Deco sculptures and a wide range of decorative objects from wonderful old French country houses, châteaux, antique stores and brocantes. Appreciating the art, the history and quality of the original hand-crafted work inspires them to restore and bring new life to older pieces with unique character.

Professionally qualified as a furniture and antique restorer in 2000, Derek ran his own successful restoration workshop in East Sussex, working on furniture, sculptures and an extensive range of decorative objects. With his in-depth knowledge and experience of working with stately homes, designers, curators and auctions houses, he works professionally and with care to restore classic French pieces as well as the more unusual and rare finds we discover.

Complemented by Bea’s design experience, love of all things Art Deco and design-led furniture, the range is continuously influenced by their independent approaches and tastes as well as mutual appreciation of French furniture, history and design.

We work alongside local professionals with additional skills such as upholstery, to ensure the quality and finish of our ranges. Each item is personally selected and carefully inspected to ensure quality construction, age, style and material followed by any necessary cleaning, repairs and restoration so that pieces are offered in excellent condition. They sell principally online and distribute from storage facilities in both Kent, UK and in South West France.
