Our online store is open and we are operating with minimum disruption whilst working within government guidelines.
The couriers we work with are still operating. This is usually on a one courier, no contact basis. There may be some delays due to some of the tighter restrictions in place but we are happy to confirm delivery times with you.
Delivery to an address in England & Wales is included in our listed price. This is for a one-man delivery service to the ground floor only. There may be an additional charge should a two man team be required. There may also be an additional charge to deliver within the London Congestion Charge zone. We would advise.
For all other UK regions, Europe and worldwide we can arrange quotations for courier delivery. Please contact us prior to purchase. The price will vary depending on your location and the size of the item.
Delivery is usually within 2 weeks, maximum 3 - 4 weeks around busy times of the year or for pieces that are new to the market. Please check with us and we will confirm with you.
Alternatively items stored in Kent can be collected from our store with prior arrangement.
If you change your mind about a purchase immediately after ordering and before dispatch, you can cancel your order and receive a refund. In this case, please send us a message outlining your decision. There may be a cancellation/handling fee to pay. If your order has already been dispatched, you will need to pay the delivery and return shipping costs.
We run an online store and viewing in person is unfortunately not an option. Returns can be made up to 14 days after delivery. If you wish to return an item please send us written notification within 48 hours of receipt. We will then arrange for you to return it to us. The item must be returned back in the same state/condition/quality as it left and a full refund less delivery and return delivery costs will be issued.
The couriers take great care in handling and delivering your orders. Despite good packaging and/or blanketing, occasionally damage may occur in transit.
Please always inspect goods thoroughly before signing.
If the packaging/box shows any sign of damage, please inspect the contents straight-away if possible. If an item has been damaged in transit, please state on the delivery card or electronic device that the box/packaging was damaged and that the goods were also damaged/broken, then sign and date.
If the packaging/box shows any sign of damage and you are unable to immediately check the contents, please state on the delivery card or electronic device that the box/packaging was damaged and that the goods are unchecked, then sign and date.
If a piece is crated and you cannot unpack immediately, please sign and write ‘goods unchecked’ and check the goods as quickly as you can.
Please keep damaged goods and within 48 hours please send us by email photos of the damaged packaging and item and we will discuss solutions with you.
Payment for all goods must be made in full before collection or delivery. All prices listed are in sterling. We accept payment by bank transfer in either sterling or euros. We can also accept payments by credit or debit card through this site or by PayPal via the Buy Now Buttons.
Should you wish us to retain pieces purchased or reserved for more than 6 weeks after purchase date, there will be a monthly fee of £40 on larger items and £20 on smaller items.
If, after a period of 6 months, we have contacted you and received no response from you and the item remains unpaid, we will relist such items for resale and will refund any balance of deposit to you once we have deducted any storage fees you have incurred.
As with all antiques, there are signs of wear & tear due to the age of a piece and its history. We aim to describe our pieces accurately - please ask for more description and photos if you need more information.
Some items occasionally have signs of historic old woodworm as is usual with old French furniture. Every piece is checked by a qualified and experienced restorer and treated for any worm damage.
The wiring on our electrical items is all original (unless stated) and we recommend that each piece is checked by a qualified electrician at installation.
Please be aware that if you are importing to a non-EU country, you may be charged import tax in your country.

Some pieces occasionally have signs of historic old woodworm (which has long since disappeared) and is common on old French furniture. Every piece with evidence of historic worm is treated as a precautionary measure, then cleaned and waxed as needed.
