Antique French Bombe Commode Chest of Drawers Louis XV Style
 
This stunning commode features its original variegated white and grey marble top with a serpentine front and moulded outer edge.
 
The two deep bombe shaped drawers are constructed in oak with dovetail joints and the lower drawer has a shaped apron.
 
The drawer fronts are book-matched veneer in Kingwood with floral marquetry panels in the centre of the drawers.
 
The bombe shaped sides are beautifully veneered in geometric parquetry style.
 
The Rococo ormolu mounts act as drawer handles to the front and also flow down the cabriole legs to sabot feet. There is a fully working lock and key for the drawers.
 
Overall the commode is in excellent condition after passing through our workshop where it has been checked over, cleaned and re-waxed.
