Antique French Burr Elm Washstand.
 
This stunning Burr Elm Washstand has a beautifully mellowed patina.
 
An unusual piece to find, this washstand features a variegated black and white marble top and surround sitting above a full-width drawer made in oak with dovetail construction.
 
To the front is a turned inset drawer pull and book-matched burr elm veneering.
 
The two cupboard doors below have wooden escutcheons, a key and working lock and open to show a single interior shelf.
 
The washstand is supported on delicately moulded feet and is in excellent condition, having passed through our workshop where it has been checked over, cleaned and waxed in the traditional manner.
