Antique French Louis Philippe Arch Top Mirror 19th Century
 
This rectangular arched top mirror has an 8 cm frame and retians its original mirror plate and back boards with some minor foxing at the base.
 
The finish is a gilt paste over a red bole, slightly aged and in good condition overall. It has been treated for wood worm that is long gone.
 
To the rear is a hanging wire. Alternatively it could stand on a fire place.
 
On the rear bacl board is the original factory label 'St Gobain, Chauny & Cirey' established in 1858.
 
It is a good size for overmantel placing.
