Antique Mantel Clock with Alarm – Early 20th Century
An attractive early 20th-century mantel clock featuring Roman numerals and a two day movement with an alarm bell.
This mantel clock is probably German and is likely to have been made by Junghans, a well-known manufacturer.
The white dial displays Roman numerals with mainspring and alarm winding holes to the front.
The brass pendulum and key are original and the clock stands on an ebonised plinth and feet.
The case has been re-veneered in birds eye maple at some stage in the past.
The movement has been checked and the clock is in good working order, with the alarm mechanism functioning as intended. It keeps good time and requires winding once a day.
Overall in lovely condition, this classic clock would sit well on a mantelpiece, bedside table or desk.
