French Bronze Ceiling Light 19th Century
 
This French Empire Ceiling Light is suspended from a central support with the ceiling rose decorated with well-defined acanthus leaves and bronze palmettes. Three rope-twisted out-splayed arms descend from the central support and the glass shade is held in place by a green banded bronze ring. The ring is decorated with further bronze palmettes all around.
 
The brass has been sympathetically hand-polished and lacquered to show its brilliance. Overall this ceiling light is in excellent condition, ready to hang.
 
It is lit with a standard bayonet bulb and has been tested and is in full working order. As with any light fitting we advise that you have it checked and fitted by an approved electrician.
