This four-planked Extending French Farmhouse Dining Table is in cherrywood with extension leaves in oak.
It is a great size with the ability to extend and seat up to 12 people, perfect for Christmas and family get-togethers.
The table has a single full-width drawer in the centre with a turned wooden drawer pull and the frame joints are all pegged in the traditional manner.
The extension leaves have carved decoration to each end and simply slide out when not required. They appear to be a later addition.
Overall this table is in great condition with a beautiful patina developed over many years. The table top has knocks and scratches commensurate to its age - please see photographs.
The table has been treated for historic woodworm purely as a cautionary measure and the feet have been tipped to give good knee height. The top has been refinished in a water and stain-proof oil.
