French Antique Console Table in Walnut with Marble Top.
 
A good-sized console table with a deeply veined and beautiful free standing marble top in greys, whites and pinks. The marble sits above a full-width concealed drawer in the frieze that has been book-matched in a burr walnut veneer to the front.
 
The slightly curved legs descend to a concave fronted platform below that has been veneered in a quarter book-matched design. To the front it sits on turned bun feet.
 
There has been some historic restoration and worm (long disappeared) that has been checked over in our workshop and treated as well as benefitting from a clean and rewax. There are a few very tiny chips in the marble top commensurate with age.
 
Overall a beautiful original console table with a lovely mellow patina that only comes with age.
