French Antique Oak Extending Farmhouse Table
This solid oak dining table features a four plank table top that consists of 4cm bevelled edge planks with later additional slide-in extension leaves for versatile dining options.
Constructed in the traditional manner with pegged joints, the table shows many years of service with a warm well-aged patina.
Squared legs with bevelled edges stand on tipped feet to provide good knee space beneath the table top frieze. Within the frieze is a mock drawer front on one side.
Everything is held in place by a central lower stretcher.
The table measures 160 cm wide without extension leaves and 270 cm wide with extension leaves added, which comfortably seats up to 12 people.
In great condition with minor signs of old historic worm (long gone) that have been treated as a precautionary measure. The table has been restored and cleaned and the legs have been tipped to provide adequate undertable knee height.
