French Mahogany Wall Shelf / Étagère, Napoleon III, 19th Century
An elegant French mahogany wall shelf / étagère dating from the Napoleon III period, featuring four tiers supported by finely turned baluster uprights.
The rich mahogany has a lovely warm colour and polished surface with traditional brass finials to the upper and lower sections. Two small brass hanging rings remain fitted to the rear, allowing the étagère to be securely mounted to the wall.
A particularly useful and decorative piece, ideal for displaying books, ceramics, small objets d'art or collections.
The étagère is in solid mahogany and in very good antique condition. It has been professionally waxed and re-polished.
