This pretty French Art Deco Sculpture Figurine of a lady reclining on a marble base is by Italian artist-sculptor Salvatore Melani (1902-1934).
 
This piece has been finely cast in a cold painted patina. She is sitting on a polished and lacquered marble with a chamfered top edge and shaped front corners. The piece has a paper-lined base.
 
Overall she is in great condition with only minor age-related marks to the surface consistent with age.
 
On the rear of the dress, she is signed S Milan, pseudonym of Salvatore Melani.
