This very pretty water fountain comes from the Pau area in the South of France as is evident by the decorative coat of arms covering the front. The wording Urbis Palladium Et Gentis in Latin means Safeguarding of the Town and Nation.
The brass water container with working tap sits on a nicely carved dark wood base whilst below is a brass basin and soap dish. There is a metal plate on the rear for wall mounting.
