Impressive Sculpture of a Pair of French Art Deco Greyhounds, signed by Plagnet.

Plagnet was a well-respected artist and great sculptor of animals in France during the Art Deco period. His work is of high quality with fine casting, which is extremely sought after. A feature of his work is the trapezoidal base, which captures and accentuates the dynamic animal poses and movement.

This large impressive Art Deco sculpture features two greyhounds (lévriers) running, where the sculptor has perfectly captured the moment.

They are made in spelter and finished in an aged bronze and gilt finish. They are mounted on a trapezoidal base made of polished black marble.

In excellent condition, this piece has been well-looked after over the years.
